Wine Gauging Ground, North Quay, London Docks, c1945-c1965. Rows of barrels of wine, marked `Sandeman', at the Wine Gauging Ground. The London Docks were opened in 1805, with a monopoly on the wine trade, among others, but were largely built over in the 1970s.
