Woman entering the church of St Martin in the Fields, London, c1950. A woman in coat and hat walks up the steps towards the entrance gate of the famous church in Trafalgar Square, London. It was rebuilt to the designs of James Gibb between 1722 and 1726. During the Second World War the crypt was used as an air raid shelter and several people were killed when it was hit by a bomb.
