Piccadilly, Manchester, c1890-c1910. A busy street scene in Piccadilly, Manchester.The pavements are crowded with pedestrians and the road with trams. In the foreground is a statue of Wellington, erected by public subscription in 1856. After an absence of some decades trams returned to Piccadilly in the late twentieth century.
