Exterior of the Horseshoe & Wheatsheaf public house, Southwark, London, 1898. The chimney bears an ornate datestone of 1897, below which is a plaque carrying the name of the pub. Two large lanterns decorate the facade. The brewery name, Whitbread and Co, is displayed prominantly in a shaped gable.
