Derelict building on Alcester Street, Birmingham, West Midlands, 1941. An old man sits on the step of the building on Alcester Street, beneath a poster advertising evening classes. The building is ornately decorated with columns and pilasters, and intricate carving on the string course which runs across the centre of the facade.
