Gun Barrel Proof House, Birmingham, West Midlands, 1962. Entrance and facade; the niche above the doorway contains representations of various peices of armoury. Gun Barrel Proof House was constructed in 1813 by John Horton as a result of Birmingham's increasing importance in the gun trade at the time of the Napoleonic War.
