Hospital ward beneath Dover Castle, Kent, 1995. A hospital ward with beds in the tunnels beneath Dover Castle in Kent. Miles of tunnels have been constructed in the White Cliffs of Dover over the centuries. During the Second World War the tunnels were used as a command centre and military hospital.
