Although the room is Victorian in character, a number of pieces of furniture within it, are French, of the Louis XV period. The house was constructed in the early 17th century and is one of the most significant Jacobean houses in England. Its interior is a product of almost 400 years of history. Florence, Lady Braybrooke was the wife of the fifth Lord Braybrooke.
