Window seat at Cleeve Abbey, Somerset, 1999. Cleeve Abbey was founded as a Cistercian monastery in 1198 and many of the surviving buildings date from the 13th century. The dormitory at Cleeve is one of the best examples in England. It contained a number of tiled window seats.
