The terminal building and control tower at Elmdon Airport, Birmingham, West Midlands, 1939. Now Birmingham International, the building was designed by Norman and Dawbarn and built in 1938-9. The two canopies or 'wings' were intended to provide protection from the weather for passengers and cargo.
