Early's Blanket Factory, Witney, Oxfordshire, 1897. Witney has long been famous for the manufacture of blankets: references to the woollen industry in the town go back as far as the 10th century. This photograph is one of a series commissioned by Charles Early to record the complete production process and published in a guide to the mill.
