Tewkesbury Abbey, Gloucestershire, 1965. Tewkesbury Abbey, begun in 1107, was a Benedictine monastery. The Prince of Wales was killed in the Battle of Tewkesbury on 4th May 1471 during the War of the Roses and was buried in the church.
