Selby Abbey, North Yorkshire, c1965-c1969. The Abbey, now the parish church dedicated to St Mary and St Germain, was one of the most important and earliest Benedictine houses in the north of England, being founded in 1069. This Victorian bench end depicts an angel kneeling in prayer.
