Lion sculpture on the Maiwand memorial in Forbury Gardens, Reading, Berkshire, c1860-c1922. The memorial commemorates the 66th (Berkshire) Regiment who fought at the Battle of Maiwand, in Afghanistan in 1880, and who sustained heavy losses.
