Anti-aircraft Control Room in Hellfire Corner, Dover Castle, Kent, 2001. Dover Castle continued to be a strategic military site into the 20th century. Tunnels beneath the Castle dating from the Napoleonic War were reused and extended to provide a secure headquarters. The command bunkers cut deep into the cliffs below Dover Castle.
