Cannon post, Pendennis Castle, Cornwall, 19th century, (1998). Pendennis Castle was built by Henry VIII to guard the mouth of the River Fal. It remained on 'active service' until the Second World War. This reconstruction shows a 19th century cannon and its gun team.
