Queen Victoria Monument, Liverpool, Merseyside, 1998. In the period of Victoria's reign (1837-1901) Britain became one the foremost nations both politically and industrially. The Victorians were responsible many changes to the British way of life from the railway revolution, to the water supply system. The statue was sculpted by Charles John Allen and is positioned on the site of Liverpool Castle
