St Edmund Hall, Front Quad, Oxford, Oxfordshire, 1885. Looking towards the east range of the front quad, built by Stephen Penton (1680-90). The Hall was established in the 13th century, and is the only survivor of the medieval academic halls that provided accomodation and tuition for undergraduates.
