York Gate, Harbour Street, Broadstairs, Kent, 1890-1910. A view looking through the arch of York Gate towards the harbour. The gate was built c1540 and bears the name of its builder as well as the name of the man who repaired it in 1795. It maintains a groove to carry a portcullis.
