Bleak House, Fort Road, Broadstairs, Kent, 1890-1910. A view of Bleak House on the cliffs at Broadstairs taken from Viking Bay with beached boats on the sands. The house was originally built as a fort in the 1790s before becoming the seaside home of Charles Dickens in the early 19th century.
