Pierhead, Liverpool, 1890-1910. A view looking towards Our Lady and St Nicholas Church with the overhead railway before it and a line of horse-drawn cabs in the foreground waiting for fares. The tower of the church, seen here, was built in 1811-1815 by Thomas Harrison of Chester.
