St Mary's Abbey, Reculver, Herne Bay, Kent, 1890-1910. The remains of the church of the Abbey of St Mary stand high on the cliff at Reculver. The 7th-century church was built by St Augustine and his followers and remained on this site until 1809 when it was pulled down.
