Chiswick House, Burlington Lane, Chiswick, London, 1945-1980. Chiswick House viewed from the front gateway. This magnificent Palladian villa was built in 1725-1729 for the Earl of Burlington (1694-1753) who used it to display his art collection and to entertain.
