Canon's Marsh Gasworks, Bristol, 1972. The front of the building is designed in a Georgian Palladian style, while the rear resembles an industrial mill. Through this it balances its function with a grace not evident in many utility buildings. This gasworks was used as the headquarters of the Bristol Gas Light Company until 1936.
