The Angel Hotel, High Street, Guildford, Surrey, 1951. Three medieval timber framed buildings were adapted to make this coaching inn. A 13th-century undercroft shows that one of these was originally a shop. The inn was created in the 16th century and a new frontage was built in the 18th.
