Treatment room, Belgrave Hospital for Children, London, 1928. Children are given artifical sunlight treatment to help combat tuberculosis at the Belgrave Hospital for Children. Heliotherapy ('sun therapy') was widely used at the beginning of the 20th century. It's ability to kill bacteria was utilised in order to combat tuberculosis amongst other diseases.
