Hammersmith Bridge, Hammersmith, London, c1887-1905. The bridge built by Sir Joseph Bazalgette in 1883-1887, taken from the south, with elephantine ornament in the foregound. This bridge replaced an earlier suspension bridge on the site designed by William Tierney Clark but reused some of the original parts.
