Yaozhou celadon bowl with carved peony design, late Northern Song-Jin dynasty, China, late 11th-early 12th century. A Yaozhou celadon bowl decorated on the interior with a carved design of a single peony and leaves, the details of which are accentuated by comb hatching. The exterior of the bowl is decorated with vertical incised lines. The bowl is covered with a bubbly olive green celadon glaze.
