Ding persimmon red glazed covered bowl with white glazed interior, Jin dynasty, China, 12th century. A red Ding covered bowl with unglazed footrim, showing the whitish buff, semi-translucent body. The rim is white and the inside is covered with a white crackled glaze. The knob on the cover is in the shape of a peach. The bowl and cover are covered on their exterior with a golden brown glaze of so-called persimmon red colour.
