Cizhou-type truncated lotus bud jar with black glaze and silvery 'oil spots', Jin dynasty, China, 13th century. A small Cizhou-type stoneware jar of truncated lotus-bud shape covered by a black glaze with extensive silvery oil spots. The base is unglazed showing the greyish body.
