Dehua porcelain jar with moulded flower scrolls and four circular lugs, Yuan dynasty, China, mid 14th century. A Dehua blanc de chine circular jarlet horizontally luted with shouldered body and short flared neck. Three moulded flowers scroll around the shoulder and four small circular lugs are set around the neck covered with a soft white glaze of ivory tint. The concave base is unglazed. This type of jarlet continued in production with few changes of design for several centuries.
