Stem bowl decorated in underglaze blue and Langyao red, Yongzheng period, Qing dynasty, China, 1723-1735. A stem bowl decorated with sprays of peach, pomegranate and citrus, the so-called 'three abundances'. The fruits are drawn in red, the leaves and stems in underglaze blue. The slightly splayed foot is hollow and the white glaze is of bluish tint. The interior is undecorated. Here the red glaze appears to be of Langyao type rather than the more usual underglaze copper-red.
