Famille rose seal paste box with landscape, late Qianlong period, Qing dynasty, China, 1775-1795. A small foliated covered seal paste box decorated on the top of the cover with a landscape scene of a pavilion beside a lake under a rocky cliff within a foliated border. The decoration is exectued in famille rose enamels of blue, rose, black and yellow. The other parts of the box are decorated with stylised floral patterns. The interior and base, other than the four character seal mark of Qianlong in underglaze blue, are covered with a greenish-turquoise overglaze.
