Bronze boshanlu censer, Wang-Mang Interregnum, China, 9-25. A boshanlu mountain censer, the cover of which is in the shape of a mountain representing Mount Penglai, the central mountain in the Daoist paradise. The bowl is plain. However, the lower part of the stand is extensively decorated with a stylised kui dragon pattern.
