Gilt bronze striding chimera, late Eastern Han-early Six Dynasties period, China, 3rd century. A gilt bronze chimera with two horns, small ears, long neck and long lashing tail. The chimera is modelled in motion with its mouth open. Its posture can be compared with Chinese sculptures of the same period.
