Parcel gilt pewter covered box with phoenix and floral designs, early Qing dynasty, China, 1650-1720. A circular pewter box, its rim bound with brass. The top of the cover is decorated with a thin gold inlay of a rock, peonies and a flying phoenix, the sides with gold inlays of prunus sprays, bees and birds.
