Bronze and marbled metal tripod incense burner, Qing dynasty, China, late 17th-early 18th century. A bronze tripod incense burner of five-lobed form. The inside and ends of the legs are gilded, the body is incised and gold filled with pictures in each lobe as follows: (1) sage under a willow by a waterfall and pagoda, (2) a pine, temple, peach tree and two scholars, (3) tiger, prunus and birds, (4) pheasant, peach tree and two sages, (5) lion dog, peonies and birds.
