Tianhuang soapstone seal with Buddhist lion finial, Ming dynasty, China, probably 1st half of 17th century. A Tianhuang square seal of pleasant honey-amber colour. The base has been carved with a four character seal and is surmounted by a Buddhist lion with a cub on its back in Ming style.
