Bronze mirror showing two fighting horsemen, China, 1180-1279. Jin or early Yuan dynasty large heavily cast bronze mirror of elaborate eight-bracketed form. The edge is raised, the back is decorated with a landscape scene of two horsemen fighting, watched by another on horseback surrounded by swirling clouds. The horses all have their tails tied with ribbons.
