Jade mythical animal, Yuan dynasty, China, 1279-1368. A tubby, oversize chestnut-brown colour rodent with triangular head and pointed nose, cornucopia ears, and feet placed in almost a diamond pattern. The hocks have been accentuated with C scrolls. The jaw and long tail have some hair markings.
