Jade gu shaped beaker with flowers and fruit, Southern Song-Yuan dynasty, China, 12th-14th century. A vase of archaic gu-hexagonal shape with peonies, peaches, lingzhi fungus and lotus sprouting from the edge round the top, all coming together at the apex with three holes for the hollowing instruments. The vase is carved out of one pebble and hollowed neatly, the body is carved with taotie masks and cicada frieze.
