Miniature blue and white guan jar, Ming dynasty, China, second half of 15th century. A miniature blue and white guan jar with tall straight neck. The jar is decorated around the neck with a continuous band of overlapping ruyi forms enclosed within double blue lines, above a wide band of four differing floral sprays above two parallel blue lines. The base is unglazed, the glaze falling short of the base yellow tinged and heavily crackled.
