Jade double face pendant, neolithic, Hongshan type, northern China, c3500-2200 BC. A double face pendant of lobed shape decorated with two indistinct human faces resembling large owl-like eyes. The jade is of slightly greyish-green colour, the reverse with two pairs of small ox-nose perforations for suspension.
