Porcelain bowl, Qing dynasty, early Kangxi period, China, 1662-1677. Conical bowl with flaring lip and high foot. The bowl is decorated on the exterior with flowering prunus spray and birds in underglaze blue and red, with white slip for the flowers and buds. This type of piece is known as a 'Spring bowl'.
