Celadon and underglaze blue bowl, Qing dynasty, China, second half of 17th century. Shallow, round, thickly potted celadon bowl. The interior is painted in underglaze blue with a scholar gazing at the full moon with attendant carrying a qin in a rocky landscape. The base is solid, without footrim and dressed with brown slip.
