Shufu-type dish, possibly Hongwu period, early Ming dynasty, China, 1368-1398. Shallow rounded dish with straight sides, with moulded decoration of two phoenixes among cross-hatched chrysanthemums and spikey leaves under a narrow classic scroll border. The piece has a pale blue qingbai-type glaze. The rim and flat base are unglazed.
