Blue and yellow dragon plate, Qing dynasty, China, 18th-19th century. Plate decorated in the centre with a pair of dragons chasing a flaming pearl amidst flames in underglaze blue with imperial yellow overglaze. The exterior is decorated with four of the Eight Precious Objects in underglaze blue similarly with yellow overglaze. The scraped base has a four-character Wanli mark, although the piece is from the Kangxi period with later additions.
