Famille rose bowl, Qing dynasty, China, 1736-1795. Medallion bowl decorated in the interior with underglaze blue floral sprays of peonies, mallow, daisies and chrysanthemums, one group in the central medallion and four in the cavetto with underglaze blue borders. The exterior is decorated in famille rose with four reserve roundels containing floral sprays of chrysanthemums, daisies, begonia and bleeding heart with further tied floral spray pendants between the roundels on a pale blue enamelled ground. The enamel is incised with feathery scrolls overall. The base has a six-character Qianlong mark and the piece is of the period.
