Blue and white tea caddy, Ming dynasty, Fujian province, China, early 17th century. Small blue and white tea caddy with domed cover, made in the Pinghe kiln. The piece is decorated with alternating panels of ribboned lozenges and fruit sprays divided by ribbons beneath a lingzhi border. The base has alternating panels of flying ducks and flowering lotus.
