Amber pear, Early Qing dynasty, probably Kangxi period, China, 1662-1722. A carved amber pear with two separate leaves which issue from the stem and encircle the pear. The veins are naturalistically carved on the underside in relief and incised on the top. The amber is a rich honey colour.
